Inspired Photonics is pleased to announce our newest distributor. Cwopto will be our representative for the China region. They are engaged in distributing high technical optical products and have been providing optical design services for several years. Their team has hundreds of customer resources, and introduce excellent products on a regular basis helping with their optical system designs.

Inspired Photonics will be showcasing its latest solutions and innovations from the Photonics Workbench business unit at CLEO 2012!

Visitors can gain an impression of the company’s extensive optical system simulation software portfolio of solutions
at Booth #1836. The focus is on Photonics Workbench v2.5+, featuring various capabilities for Software Assisted Research
and Developmenet (SARD) in Optical Fiber System Design.

Various Demo configurations during the show shall include Fiber Amplification, Pulsed Fiber Laser, CW Fiber Laser, Q-Switch Fiber Laser, Master Oscillator Power Amplification (MOPA), Cascaded Fiber Amplification, Parabolic Pulse Amplification Ultrashort Pulsed Optical Systems and Super Continuum Signal Generation applications.

We are pleased to release the Photonics Workbench v2.5. After another year of enhancement and new product development, we are happy to have met our roadmap goals.

Salient Features:

  1. Graphical user interface (GUI) is brand new, with state of the art functionality/ look and feel that includes modern business features to aid you on every seamless configuration and simulation step.
  2. New component: Passive fiber: Just like the fiber amplifier component, it uses MCP (our patented algorithm) to simulated GVD and SPM, as well as other passive effects.
  3. Performance: Noticable and significant improvements have been made on the backend engine with respect to speed and memory usage.
  4. Advanced Plotting options: We continuously expand our graphing options, from a variety of spectrum plots to effects of chirp on a propagating pulse, and for every component as more exotic requirements arrise from our clients.
  5. Improved Help menu: We created a number of new example sets, more details on individual components, added more frequently asked questions.
  6. System Configuration: This is a tool that is used to parametrize a variety of commands to the Photonics Workbench engine. In the past this was only possible before the start of the simulation. In the latest release, advanced users can send their commands to the engine during or after a simulation.

Photonics Workbench V1.12 is now available. It provides signficant upgrades that include, but are not limited to, fiber lasers and an updated graphical (pulse) designer. These upgrades make great additions to the functionality offered in previous versions.

Fiber Laser Technology passed beta testing and will be available for the next major release. The Photonics Workbench engine is now able to process fiber amplifiers with components such as etalons (mirrors) and electrooptic modulators for active fiber laser simulations.
